We do this with our neighbours, partners, teachers, researchers, professional staff, technicians and students. That means that the University will work to fight climate change, uphold human rights, and improve access to education and jobs. How to get involved as a student There are a number of ways you can get involved with social responsibility and sustainability whilst studying at the University. Social Media and Newsletter links Learn how to be sustainable 'Be Sustainable' is a short online course that introduces you to some of the ways you can be more sustainable. It's a 30 minute online course, that covers key social responsibility and sustainability topics such as: Climate change Energy Travel Waste Purchasing and Fair Trade and Learning and Development Learn how to be sustainable training Become a student Sustainability Champion Join a network of staff and students making the University of Edinburgh more sustainable. Develop the skills you need to lead positive change in your area of study, residence or work. Sustainability Champions Make sustainability a part of your studies Help solve a real-life problem at the University with your dissertation or research project using the 'living lab' approach.
