Societies and sports

Our clubs and societies will help you develop your interests, meet like-minded people, indulge a hobby or simply socialise.

As soon as you join the University, you'll be welcomed into the Edinburgh University Students' Association, which works on your behalf to ensure you have the best possible experience during your time here.

We host an extensive range of clubs and societies here at Edinburgh. With more than 290 to choose from, you're bound to find one that's right for you, and if you don't you can create one!

Our Sports Union is made up of more than 60 sports clubs, catering for all types of activity and ability level, from complete beginner to elite.

Our clubs offer weekly coaching and practice, with opportunities to compete and/or participate in sport on Wednesdays and at weekends. Many of our sports clubs compete at national and international levels.
