The facility welcomes academic researchers (UK-based and international) and commercial customers to access the facility on a charged basis. If you would like to access the facility, please contact us at ionprobe@ed.ac.uk to discuss project feasibility, timeline and requirements. Support letters for grant applications can be provided on request. Research eligible for NERC-funding can also apply for direct access to the facility via NERC application. NERC-funded projects cannot pay for access but need to follow the NERC application process. Costs for use The ion microprobe time is charged per hour at the rates listed below.
