About us

Our group examines the connections between the environment, health and well-being, with a particular interest in health inequalities.

All aspects of the environment, including the physical/chemical, social, economic, cultural and commercial environments, are explored.

We utilise a range of quantitative and qualitative methodologies, including the novel use of linked administrative and longitudinal data and we aim to foster a sense of belonging for staff and students interested in research in this area.

A supportive and collaborative environment is provided through:

  • meetings
  • seminars
  • close working collaborations
  • activities such as writing workshops and reading groups
