The benefits of studying abroad

Studying abroad on an exchange programme, usually in your third year of study, can be an integral component of your degree programme. A year abroad can give you invaluable academic and life skills, all while exploring a new country and culture.
We offer exciting opportunities to study abroad as part of the University's exchange programmes.
We have around 300 student exchange partners, in nearly 40 countries worldwide! Graduates who have international experience are highly employable, having demonstrated skills in resilience, drive, and inter-cultural sensitivities, as well as language skills.
Our study exchanges are available on all School of GeoSciences undergraduate degrees, except BSc Environmental Geoscience.
